Hey, I’m Dave…

A filmmaker & photographer based in London & Berlin.

I love vintage lenses, mid century design, Korean food and 90s boom bap. Blue hour lighting, Maldon salt and Avatar the last Airbender are also high up on the list.

Beyond having a strange array of interests, I work with brands, agencies and production companies to tell visual stories and create captivating campaigns.

This usually happens as a self-shooting director or as a photographer (digital & analog). Sometimes it happens as both.

Beyond this, I direct narrative films, documentaries, commercials and music videos.

My filmmaking is inspired by world cinema and often explores the relationship between people and the environment that surrounds them.

I’m fluent in both DaVinci Resolve as well as the Adobe Creative Cloud, and as such often take care of the entire post-production process myself.

My visual style is stylised yet naturalistic. Defined by intimate high contrast images, as well as mixed media and elements of the absurd, it is a modern yet timeless aesthetic.

Having a background as a production manager and working with a talented network of producers, stylists, and crew, even the most challenging productions become a reality through creative collaboration.
